I’ve praised my mom in a previous post (read here) about her ever positive state of mind and how that has impacted my world view. Another gift my mother gave me was Confidence. The belief that I could do anything I put my mind to.

Confidence is an incredibly powerful trait to possess. It gives you wings to try and the belief in what others may see as impossible. I have no doubt that my self-confidence is responsible for the amazing opportunities and experiences I’ve had in my life.

My acting career in community theater came about because of my self-confidence. There are those who might believe that at age 40 becoming an actress might seem like a long shot. Not me, I had the confidence and where with all to bring my own accompanist that I had rehearsed with for my audition piece. Confidence plus preparation equals success!

 

When we “Erase all Doubt” we open a vast avenue of possibilities:

My colon and breast cancer journey would be a totally different experience without a positive attitude, self-confidence and faith. It’s opened my eyes to truly living a life with purpose.

From the beginning, I announced and claimed to the universe that in my fight against Colon and Breast Cancer I wouldn’t have any major side effects and that although this battle is a challenge, it is also an opportunity to learn about my true self, grow in my faith, and share my blessed journey.

What does Freedom mean to you?

•equality?

•no fear?

•life?

To me, Freedom is a frame of mind. What I choose to believe. How I shape and share my journey and move through time and space. 

Freedom to believe in the impossible since there is no impossible, only the unwillingness to try.

Freedom to leap. Freedom to fly. Freedom in the faith that if I do I won’t die.😅

 

Whatever Freedom is for you, pursue it, embrace it and live it!

Since the first time I heard this inspiring Irene Cara hit, it’s become a personal mantra and life philosophy.

“Take your passion and make it happen..” 

This song excited and motivated me to pursue my dream of becoming an actress and performing in community theater.

“Believe in yourself and what you can accomplish.”

Today that determination and confidence strengthens my will and shows me that I can accomplish whatever I want. So, cancer, you don’t stand a chance!
