“It’s a Beautiful Day!”

From the first time I heard this song and still now, I feel joyful and appreciative for the blessing of waking up to a beautiful day! And my intention reminds me – make the most of it!

Since I’m a word girl and lyrics get butchered all the time,😄 I picked this video which showcases the impactful words of “Beautiful Day.” 

 

 

It sounds like such a simple thing to do but so easy to forget. Each day, each moment is a gift. I know for me, next time I question what’s up with time, I’ll have to reflect on my own sense of appreciation.

My morning and evening praise is part of living my life deliberately and holding gratitude in my heart. I’ve come this far by faith and I have no intention of letting that go.

Every time I think about my blessings I well up inside. I can’t help giving my testimony and sharing my joy.

Each of us is a miracle and it’s so important to grasp that concept and move through life bearing that knowledge and living for love and peace.

I’ve adopted a personal mantra to refocus on trying days and situations, “Don’t Let the Bad Behavior of Others Destroy Your Inner Peace.”

Each day let us live our truths in peace and harmony. ✌💗

Happiness Jar Blessings!💗

I saw this poster the other day and loved its concept and message of recognizing a blessing a day. We can tend to forget the good things in our lives with the news serving up what seems like an endless stream of bad after horrible after worse stories on a loop. But within the madness let’s not forget to stop and “smell the roses.”

Time as we mark it is merely minute by minute. The past is over the future is yet to be but right now, this moment is the only thing that’s real.

I love this idea of The Happiness Jar because we get to pause and say thank you, Lord, for this wonderful gift of life.  And, at the end of the year remind ourselves that things aren’t really that bad after all.

Blessings abound as I celebrate the 40th Anniversary of crossing into the sisterhood of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. with my line sisters, the Eloquent Eleven.

Our love and bond is ever strong as we’ve shared our life’s joys, milestones and heartbreaks. I recently read an article about the enhanced benefits, well being and happiness associated with a strong network of girlfriends. I can attest to that observation as my sisters have always loved and supported me and their energy has truly lifted me throughout my cancer journey.

As I discovered and took on the challenge of fighting the colon and breast cancer diagnosis, we were planning this 2016 reunion and had chosen Maine as the destination. Mid plan, my sisters made the decision to take the weight of traveling off my plate and come to see me in Charlotte for our celebration.

I always smile and my heart is full thinking of this group of incredible, dynamic women I’ve had the privilege and blessing to call family. As we continue to fellowship and praise our remarkable sisterhood, I thank God for each and every one.
