Seeing President Obama last week in New York City reminded me of this incredible song and the implications of its profound meaning. It was poignantly written by Sara Bareilles and compassionately interpreted by Leslie Odom, Jr. 

It is more than time enough to ask ourselves: Who are we as a Nation? Are we reaching for our highest ideals? Can we come together as a people?
