I write about the importance of attitude and positive energy in your life so, I was deeply moved by a young man’s remarkable story of strength and faith. This incredible young man not only survived a tragic event in his life but rose above and beyond holding onto his faith that God has a plan for him. 

My life as a writer and cancer survivor helps focus my perspective when learning about amazing people and the incredible experiences they have to share. I got a double dose of perspective recently while researching an article for Ginzy Magazine about the former University of Tennessee football star Inky Johnson.

He turned around a devastating football injury, paralyzing his right arm and costing him his lifelong dream of playing in the NFL, into motivating others to fight through challenges even if it means surrendering to the will of God.
